Num 15:30-31
But the soul that does ought PRESUMPTUOUSLY, whether he be 
born in the land, or a stranger, the same reproaches the 
LORD; and that soul shall be cut off from among his people. 
Because he has despised the word of the LORD, and has broken 
his commandment, that soul shall utterly be cut off; his 
iniquity shall be upon him.

The expression, ought PRESUMPTUOUSLY, comes from the Hebrew
word, ruwm (Strong's #7311).  The Strong's definition of 
this word is:

1. to rise, rise up, be high, be lofty, be exalted
   1. (Qal)
      1. to be high, be set on high
      2. to be raised, be uplifted, be exalted
      3. to be lifted, rise 
   2. (Polel)
      1. to raise or rear (children), cause to grow up
      2. to lift up, raise, exalt
      3. to exalt, extol 
   3. (Polal) to be lifted up
   4. (Hiphil)
      1. to raise, lift, lift up, take up, set up, erect, 
         exalt, set on high
      2. to lift up (and take away), remove
      3. to lift off and present, contribute, offer, contribute 
   5. (Hophal) to be taken off, be abolished
   6. (Hithpolel) to exalt oneself, magnify oneself 
2. (Qal) to be rotten, be wormy 

In the KJV bible, ruwm has been used as

* lift up
* hold up
* exalt
* high
* offer
* give
* heave
* extol
* lofty
* take
* tall
* higher
* miscellaneous uses

The soul, who acts PRESUMPTUOUSLY (ruwm), shall be cut off 
from God's kingdom. This soul is among God's people, and
then, cut off. This is an Old Testament example of someone,
who loses salvation.  

This verse is analogous to Heb 10:26-27 where someone sins
WILLFULLY. Someone, who sticks one's nose at the Lord, is 
in a hot seat with the Lord. 

Imagine yourself in the Lord's position. Would you welcome 
someone who shows contempt and disdain toward you? I think 
not!
