Jn 10:27-28 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. Verse 28 looks like eternity security. However, this verse must be taken in context with the previous verse. Always look around the verse, before and after, to understand its meaning. Verses 27 refers to sheeps whom listen to and obey the Lord. This passage says nothing about sheeps whom do not listen to or obey the Lord. This verse states CONDITIONAL security based on obedience to the Lord. It is "Once Saved" + "Commitment to Jesus" = "Always Saved" where "Commitment to Jesus" means - having an active faith, - living a life of repentance, and - obeying the Lord. If one is "Committed to Jesus", then that person is obedient to the Lord and no man can "pluck them out of Jesus.s hand". ********** All scriptures are from the Updated King James Version bible which can found at http://www.geocities.com/updatedkjv/ .
