TOUCH NOT MY ANOINTED

Saying, Touch not my anointed, and do my prophets no harm.
The word, strike/touch, is a translation of the Hebrew word, naga, Strong's #
5060. The definition is
5060 naga` naw-gah'
a primitive root; properly, to touch, i.e. lay the hand upon
(for any purpose; euphem., to lie with a woman); by
implication, to reach (figuratively, to arrive, acquire);
violently, to strike (punish, defeat, destroy, etc.):--beat,
(X be able to) bring (down), cast, come (nigh), draw near
(nigh), get up, happen, join, near, plague, reach (up), smite,
strike, touch.
The expression, mine/my anointed, is a translation of the Hebrew word, mashiyach,
Strong's # 4899. The definition is
mashiyach maw-shee'-akh
from 4886; anointed; usually a consecrated person (as a king,
priest, or saint); specifically, the Messiah:--anointed,
Messiah.
Ps 105:15 is exhorting God's People not to try to knock down His Anointed Ones
from their perches whether by striking, destruction, accusation, slander, etc.
Those whom try are in hot seats with God.
Today anointed ones are those five-fold ministers doing works to build God's
Kingdom on earth. Be careful not to wreck their lives. This does not mean you
cannot correct them, but if God calls you to do so, do it correctly.
King Saul vs To-be-King David
1 Sam 24:6,10
and he [David] saith to his men, `Far be it from me, by Jehovah; I do not do this
thing to my lord -- to the anointed of Jehovah -- to put forth my hand against
him, for the anointed of Jehovah he is.' ... Lo, this day have thine eyes seen
how that Jehovah hath given thee to-day into my hand in the cave; and one said to
slay thee, and mine eye hath pity on thee, and I say, I do not put forth my hand
against my lord, for the anointed of Jehovah he is.
1 Sam 26:9,11,23
And David saith unto Abishai, `Destroy him not; for who hath put forth his hand
against the anointed of Jehovah, and been acquitted?' ... far be it from me, by
Jehovah, from putting forth my hand against the anointed of Jehovah; and, now,
take, I pray thee, the spear which is at his pillow, and the cruse of water, and
we go away.' ... and Jehovah doth turn back to each his righteousness and his
faithfulness, in that Jehovah hath given thee to-day into my hand, and I have
not been willing to put forth my hand against the anointed of Jehovah,
Many people started great, and then, turn bad (fell due to sins, be ensnared by
the world, etc). King Saul was one of them. He started humble - didn't want to
be king, spent the first few kingly years doing manual works - and then, defeated
the Ammonites. Then he turned sour by disobeying God in not wiping out the
Amalekites, trying to murder to-be-King David, and inquiring Prophet Samuel
through witchcraft. Even though King Saul was evil at the end of his life,
to-be-King David refused to kill him.
The same is true for leaders today. Sadly, some leaders have moral lapses
(sins, living in the world, etc), but still we are not to harm then. We may
be called to correct them out of God's love for them and if we do, do it
correctly. Focus on God's Word, not their characters. It is okay to say
"stealing is a sin", but not "you lazy, immoral, cheating, pervert".
Coincidentally, to-be-King David was another anointed one and King Saul only
sped judgment against himself when he tries to murder his successor.
Have you confronted God's Way?
Mt 18:15-17
And if thy brother may sin against thee, go and show him his fault between thee
and him alone, if he may hear thee, thou didst gain thy brother; and if he may
not hear, take with thee yet one or two, that by the mouth of two witnesses or
three every word may stand. `And if he may not hear them, say it to the
assembly, and if also the assembly he may not hear, let him be to thee as the
heathen man and the tax-gatherer.
Too often, people gossip about others behind their backs. Too often, leaders
are accused and slandered without the correct process. Jesus exhorted God's
People to confront correctly as described in Mt 18:15-17. Those, whom accuse
and slander others (especially anointed ones) are in hot seats with God.
Accusations and slanders create stumbling blocks

all things prove; that which is good hold fast;
When we receive a message, we are to strip out what is good and knock out the
bad. However, when we, including anointed ones, are accused, there a human
tendency to cancel the entire message - good and bad. Accusing people behind
their backs only put a stumbling block in front of them. It makes it harder
for them to receive correction about the same issue in the future.
For example, it is true that the lost tribes of Israel had populated much of
Europe and America before migrants from second and third world countries came.
The Church of God correctly promoted this idea. Because they were a cult - did
not believe in the deity of Jesus last century - mainline Christian churches
ignored the entire message including the truth about Westerners being the lost

Restore, not condemn, fallen leaders
Jude 23
and some in fear save ye, out of the fire snatching, hating even the coat from
the flesh spotted.
There are many, many, many other places where God's Word exhort us to love
others unconditionally (agape love). Study 1 John and other love passages.
We are all sinners including anointed ones saved by grace. The only sinless one
was Jesus who paid the price for us on the cross. Somehow, people wrongly put
anointed ones under different standard than the rest of us. This should not be.
Too often when anointed ones fall, the churches knock them down and move on.
There is no or little plan to restore them. Jesus restored Peter (Jn 21). In
the same way, we are to restore repentant fallen leaders.
Greek words for judge
The English word, judge, in verb tense, is a confusing translation of Greek.
Any time you see the word judge used as a verb, find the Greek word used for it.
There are 3 primary translations of the verb tense of judge.
krino kree'-no : Strong's # 2919
properly, to distinguish, i.e. decide (mentally or judicially); by
implication, to try, condemn, punish:--avenge, conclude, condemn,
damn, decree, determine, esteem, judge, go to (sue at the) law,
ordain, call in question, sentence to, think.
anakrino an-ak-ree'-no : Strong's # 350
properly, to scrutinize, i.e. (by implication)
investigate, interrogate, determine:--ask, question, discern, examine,
judge, search.
diakrino dee-ak-ree'-no : Strong's # 1252
to separate thoroughly, i.e. (literally and
reflexively) to withdraw from, or (by implication) oppose;
figuratively, to discriminate (by implication, decide), or
(reflexively) hesitate:--contend, make (to) differ(-ence), discern,
doubt, judge, be partial, stagger, waver.
In a nutshell it is okay to examine and discern, but not to condemn. Avoid the
extremes: 1) we are not to judge at all (liberalism) and 2) we condemn everyone
whom do not think alike (ultra-conservative). Balance: we are to discern and
examine what may be wrong, but not condemn the offenders. Speak about correct
doctrines and behaviors - avoid defaming people. It is God's heart to save the
offender (assuming that person is wrong) and you may be called to confront. And
if you are called, do it right.
Put more weight on the person's moral character, then on theology. We are all
alittle off theologically - only Jesus was perfect - let not little differences
be blown out of proportion. Examine the person's lifestyle and behavior - do
they line up with the scripture? Has the person a close child-like faith walk
with Jesus?
Summary

because it is the time of the beginning of the judgment from the house of God,
and if first from us, what the end of those disobedient to the good news of God?
God expects His People to stop accusing others especially His Anointed Ones.
He is cleaning up this wrong behavior. And He is purifying His People first,
then the world. Live in the fear of the Lord.
Those whom accuse and slander are in hot seats with God. Even if they escape
the first few calamities, judgment will follow them where they go. If you
touched an anointed one, get right with Jesus.
